Update in AndroidX for period August 25–31 2019. We had only one update:

Biometric

Biometric library is new one and it responsible for backport functionality of Biometric API from Android 9 Pie

1.0.0-beta1 (compare to 1.0.0-alpha04):

• Added second constructor for BiometricPrompt that allows it to be hosted in a Fragment (early it was only possible in FragmentActivity).
• Bring new the functionality from Android 10 in Biometric to the AndroidX Biometric library
• Bug fixes
